The Town of Rose Valley is situated in the Provincial Parklands
approximately 40 kilometers south west of the Greenwater Provincial
Park and the Porcupine Forest Preserve.
The economic base is agriculture, in the rich gray soil zone.
Rose Valley is a friendly, supportive community providing the necessities
including - elementary and high schools, medical clinic, health centre,
ambulance, pharmacy, butcher shop, hotel, churches, halls, seniors
centre, welding and repair shop, lumber yard, skating and curling
rinks, banks, and many other services and businesses.
Some of the active service clubs in this Town include Kinsmen and
Kinettes, Volunteer Fire Dept, Recreation Board, Homemakers Club,
Legion, Museum Board, an Economic Development Committee as well as
a variety of Church organizations.
The community is a friendly, beautifully treed community with water,
sewer, sidewalks, dust free streets, and free electrified campground.
Snowmobiling, cross country skiing, fishing, golfing, hunting and
nature and bird watching are all within easy access of this community.
The proximity to the Porcupine Plain Forest, and the Ponass Lake
Wetlands provides a definite advantage for all nature related activities.
