Melfort, Saskatchewan
Zone
4
Melfort, the City of Northern Lights, is situated in east central
Saskatchewan's parkland belt surrounded by the famous black loam
of the fertile Carrot River Valley.
In today's stressful world of fast paced living, Melfort offers
a refuge from excessive crime, traffic tie-ups and anonymity. Our
city is big enough to offer most of the services found in a large
city, yet, Melfort hasn't grown to a point where a citizen is just
a statistic or another face in the crowd.
The City of Melfort is minutes away from some of Mother Natures
greatest handiwork. There are the many forests, lakes, and beaches.
We are located close to Wapiti Valley Regional Park - a four season
resort - with downhill and cross country skiing, chalet and marina,
picnic and camp grounds. It is also home to the Walleye Cup Fish
Derby.
Melfort prides itself on a fine educational system from kindergarten
to a full range of first year University Arts and Sciences classes
offered at the Cumberland Regional College. The modern Melfort Union
Hospital offers a wide spectrum of clinical services, including surgical,
obstetrics, orthopedics, radiological, pathology, and laboratory.
They also have general medicine and chemical addiction services.
The new Northern Lights Palace is a multi-purpose facility consisting
of a free form leisure pool, five lane competitive portion, wave
generator, sauna, waterslide, beach area, spray/splash pool, and
a wet/dry cafe. This unique facility will also accommodate concerts,
trade shows and ice activities. Other facilities include a second
indoor arena, curling rink, lighted tennis courts, gun range, a first
class ball complex and an 18 hole golf course.
Melfort is a great place to visit, raise a family, go to school,
own a business or retire.
We have it all - and that's why .....
"WE LOVE IT HERE ..... AND ..... WE KNOW YOU
WILL TOO !
