Zone

The Village of Lake Lenore is located 75 kms south east of Melfort
on Highway # 368. The quiet town of 300 was founded in 1903 by Seven
brothers from Germany.
Today, the village boasts a Credit Union, a hotel, Three grain elevators,
a bowling alley, cafe and a grocery store. As is true in many towns
and villages in Saskatchewan, the sports facilities are a main attraction
in the village. The local curling club is very active with league
play throughout the winter and a ladies open bonspiel in the third
week of January. The hockey rink is also active, with hockey and
ringette games and tournaments throughout the winter.
The summer is no less active, with a Sports Days in the last weekend
of May, which features a slow pitch tournament.
There is a full service campground near the town and do not forget
Lenore Lake, from which the town takes its name.
